Q: Is the Floor Gap Fixer reusable?
A: Yes, the Floor Gap Fixer has a special adhesive that is reusable. The adhesive will lose its strength if it gets dirty. Once the adhesive strip is cleaned and dried, the adhesive strength is restored. The other ways the FGF will lose adhesive strength is by damaging the adhesive pad and improper use.
Q: What can I do if I damage the adhesive?
A: If you damage the adhesive beyond usable condition, you can purchase replacement adhesives by emailing sales@floorgapfixer.com. Please include your order number and current mailing address.
Q: My Floor Gap Fixer has scratches on it, is this common?
A: The aluminum alloy has a mill finish. There are scratches on the surface of each part. The scratches do not affect the tool's performance.
Q: Can the Floor Gap Fixer be used to install laminate flooring?
A: Yes, the Floor Gap Fixer can be used as an installation tool for laminate flooring.
Q: Will the Floor Gap Fixer leave a residue on my floor?
A: No, the Floor Gap Fixer does not leave behind any residue on the floor.
Q: On what width flooring can I use the Floor Gap Fixer?
A: The Floor Gap Fixer is approximately 2" wide x 10" long. It can be used on floating flooring with planks that are 2" or wider. Some types of locking systems on vinyl floors may cause problems closing the gaps.
Q: Do you guarantee results?
A: Due to variations in floors, sub-floors, and installations we cannot guarantee results due to all of the variables that come with flooring installs and conditions. If you send us the flooring type and brand we can see if any other customers have reported success with the brand or flooring type.
Q: Do you offer international shipping?
A: We ship the tool to Canada and the UK. We offer Flat Rate International Shipping via USPS (5-10 Days) to Canada and calculated shipping for the UK.
